Linda regards herself primarily as an abstract colourist with a passion for the female figure. “Colour is an abstract expression, while I find the figure connects to me with reality.” Manipulating layers of colour as a foundation for her work she uses the subtle shapes and curves of the feminine form to provide hints and intimation of sensuality. Linda’s primary influences are reflected in the subtle tones and understated lines of the overall composition coupled with a soft voyeurism. After completing her art degree at Newcastle Linda then studied post-graduate print making at Brighton College of Art. Linda has shown in galleries around the world including UK, Australia and US and has completed several private commissions including the Holmes a ‘Court collection and Australian Art Resources.
